In a separate bowl, whisk together 120ml milk, 100g melted butter, 2 eggs, and 1 tsp vanilla extract. Combine until smooth and well-mixed.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix just until a smooth batter forms. Be careful not to overmix, as this keeps the cupcakes light and fluffy.
Gently fold in 100g of M&M's, reserving a few for decoration. Distribute the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full. Sprinkle the remaining M&M's on top for a colourful finish.
